Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Nova SE Wait List
« on: June 09, 2005, 02:49:00 PM »
I got an e-mail from Nova SE, asking me if i wanted to remain on the waitlist.

Anybody else hear any news?

And for you summer conditional many people have you seen drop out of the program?

A friend of mine, got accepted even though she did not repond to them when asked if she wanted to remain on the waitlist.

but she will not be attending, so there is another spot!

This is what I dont get about the priority waitlist and AAMPLE: I know Nova offers the AAMPLE program for students who would otherwise not be offered admission and giving them a chance to be admitted if they receive certain marks. I was put on the waitlist and not offered the AAMPLE program. What criteria does the school go by to decide who gets placed on the waitlist and who gets offered the AAMPLE? Which one is considered better? Which ones are considered more qualified applicants, ones who are offered AAMPLE or the waitlist? I understand that with AAMPLE, even though an individual would not have been ordinarily accepted, he still controls his destiny and with hard work they can earn a spot in the freshman class. This is not the case with the waitlist, as I have to hope that a space opens up. Is there a possibility to be offered AAMPLE off of the waitlist?  I still donít know which one is considered better, but it seems to me that the AAMPLE gives one a chance to EARN a spot, even though it may be extremely difficult, while with the waitlist, everything is up in the air. If anyone can offer any answers I'd really appreciate it.

Same here, i wish i understood the logic... given the choice i would have taken my chances with aample, because it appears to me that Nova is waitlisting everyone in site.  On LSN there are no rejects.  So i don't know how many of us are going to clear the waitlist.

anybody else?

what is chance of getting off this list into the part time evening program?

Did they offer you the summer conditional program?

what is your nova se index?

it looks like the first wave was for those with an index of 2.9 or above

Even stranger is that NSU has this summer conditional program (for some who would have been denied) where you take two no credit courses and if you get no less than a "B" and a "C" they let you in.....

and they have plenty of takers for this offer.

It is very strange....

One of my clients is a law firm in which every single attorney is a graduate of NSU.

It is a small firm, but quite sucessful.

the proctor who said no eating or drinking during the test as it will disturb the other test takers, and then proceeds to stick a candy in her mouth and starts chomping on it like a cow!

i raised my hand to politely to tell her to STFU!
