Thanks for the advice lex.  I was thinking about doing this too, and just noting on my application that I would be retaking in December.

Uwofresh... have you decided what schools you're applying to?

Sorry for the late reponse..
I'm applying to all Ontario law school except for U of T, which i have no chance at.  I'm also applying to dalhousie and manitoba as my safety.  UBC told me I'd be very competitive, so I might think about it later on, and that applies to mcgill as well.

MY ideal choice would be Osgoode(which I have a shot at now, but I'd have to wait A LONG time to be accepted) and Ottawa.

How bout you?

Studying for the LSAT / The second Round.

After receiving a 159 on my LSAT, I've decided to retake. My highest was a 161 on Preptest #49 and some may wonder why I would retake it when I only did 2 scale points lower.

The fact is that, I am safe with a lot of the canadian law schools I want to get in to since I have a high GPA.  However, I feel like I can still improve with the extra month I have, and I want to prove to myself I can do better the second time around.  I strongly feel this way because I was really nervous on the first three sections, where I screwed up the most.  Hopefully, I can do a better job second time around.
 ;D

I have decided to re-take in june. Take a couple of months off and start fresh, this time with 1 year of studying under my belt. I think i'll come out of it fine, stronger and a better candidate.

Who's doing the same?

How did you end up doing frank?

i have THE ABSOLUTE HARDEST TIME EVER concentrating on anything. seriously, no exaggeration, and i don't know how to kick myself in the ass to make myself work.

You probably shouldn't go to law school. Seriously, no exaggeration.

This is pretty harsh, but I think he hits the point.  Ask yourself if you REALLY want to attend law school.  If you do, then you'll find a way to kick your bad habit and do whatever it needs to be done for law school.  Studying for LSAT isn't a joke, and law school will be even worse.
