Studying for the LSAT / How old are you guys?
« on: August 25, 2004, 08:17:23 PM »
Just outta curiosity, how old are you guys?
I'm 20 right now and prepping for my LSAT...it's not going too great right now so I'm prepared to spend next summer as well to prepare for the exam.(even though if i do, i'll be wasting my year since i'll be graduating after this academic year)
I feel kinda bummed out cause i'd hate to waste a year but i also realize that i'm still young.

Studying for the LSAT / What's a good method of studying for LR??
« on: August 25, 2004, 08:09:00 PM »
Right now, I'm going through the questions untimed to make sure i get the total gist of the question and predict the probable answer before i look at the choices.  Is this a good way to improve my LR results??
I'm probably going to be doing this for about couple of more days before I start timing myself again.

Studying for the LSAT / LR question..
« on: August 24, 2004, 03:34:16 AM »
Hey guys, I'm having problems figuring this question out.  For some reason I keep mixing up the variables that are sufficient and necessary.

Rosen: One cannot prepare a good meal from bad food, produce good food from bad soil, maintain good soil without good farming, or have good farming without a culture that places value on the proper maintenance of all its natural resources so that needed suppplies are always available.

which one of the following can be properly inferred from rosen's statement?

A.) The creation of good meals depends on both natural and cultural condition.

this was the answer..
but I'm not too sure why..
How do you diagram this chain of causation??

Just wondering how long it usually takes ppl ON AVERAGE to get a decent score on the LSAT.

Studying for the LSAT / Help!! I need an advice~!!
« on: August 12, 2004, 04:50:54 AM »
Hi guys, I'm heading in to my fourth yr in my business program at the university of western ontario.
I've been studying for the LSAT for roughly three months now and have scored around 148 on my prep exams thus far..
It's been over a month since I finished my Kaplan program and I don't seem to be
improving in terms of marks..
I'm pretty discouraged cause 148 is definetely not a good enough mark..
I seem to have problem in every aspect, from time management to reading comp...
I'm starting to think whether I'll ever nail the LSAT...because a lot of people told me that 3-4 months of preparing should be a sufficient time to prepare.

My grades thus far have been 80.3%, 82.6%, and 86.5%. I'm projecting that I'll be getting around 86% in my last year.
What do you think guys? Should I just give up since I'm struggling even after three months of studying?
What should I do?
