Law School Applications / Pre-Law Society
« on: September 01, 2004, 10:44:08 AM »
Why do you all think about joining a pre-law society as a senior?
I thought joining the Phi Alpha Delta chapter here might add another dimension to my LS applications despite the fact that I can almost never make it to the Tuesday night meetings.  Anyway, I might be able to occasionally to pick up some LS advice, etc.

Think it is worth the 70 bucks? Does it make any difference to LS admissions?
(Not that this board itself isn't my preferred pre-law society!)

Studying for the LSAT / Will practice scores keep increasing?
« on: September 01, 2004, 03:32:37 AM »
I have noticed that everyone's posted scores just seem to keep climbing and climbing without many steps backwards.  Often dramatically I see.  (mid-150s up to 170, etc.)

Is this normal for taking practice tests over and over?  I would have thought you would eventually kind of level off a lot sooner.

I have scored a 158, 159, and 161 in three tests so far. It would be very encouraging to believe that my score will (more or less) keep increasing in a linear fashion like that.  It seems it's a lot easier to sit down and take yet another test with that kind of optimism.  I could easily see myself getting burned out had I gone say, 161-158-159.

I know that obviously a drop is due soon, but for the most part can I realistically expect to increase by an AVERAGE of about 1-2 points every 2 tests if I keep takin 'em?

Studying for the LSAT / Simulating LSAT Environment
« on: August 12, 2004, 03:40:14 AM »
So I was just wondering...

Will I be able to take the LSAT at midnight in my underwear while smoking, reading the test questions off of my computer monitor while writing the answers with a sharpie?

I don't have my own private sterile classroom and personal proctor, so I hope this is not counterproductive.  What do you guys think?  Is this important?

What is your practice testing "environment" like?
