ive heard of tai kai.  arent you the guys who always have massive amounts of competitors and always sweep the kids division in tournaments?

ive trained for a few years but its been really on and off, so my total mat time isnt really that much. i hurt my shoulder a few months ago so ive been just sitting on my ass and getting out of shape waiting for it to heal.  i really dont enjoy going to the gym to do run of the mill "working out," but since im not training and my abs are fading away, im probably going to have to start so i dont get too far out of shape.

How do LSDers stand on these issues:

-Death Penalty
-War in Iraq
-War in General
-Gun Control
-Legalization of drugs

pro choice

pro death penalty

against war in iraq

against war in general, but definitely know that its necessary at times

for certain aspects of gun control(required background checks, no sales at gun shows, etc.)

cant decide on drugs

dont really care about filibusters

the avellans are awesome grapplers and really cool guys.  i honestly dont know much about pricing or what the students are like now because i havent been in there in a few years.  i was one of their original students back before they really got famous in the grappling world, so it was really cheap to train there(if i remember correctly it was $75/month for unlimited training), classes were always small, and everyone was cool.  there were always a bunch of really good guys to train with, and everyone was nice so you didnt have to worry about some moron going nuts and injuring you.  when it came down to training, people were of course serious, but it was really a friendly environment with everyone joking around with each other.

now that they have been winning some really big tournaments they got a lot more attention and i think they more than doubled the number of students they have, so im sure there are a few jerks in the mix(like there are at any mma/bjj gym).  but like everywhere else, the big ego people usually dont last more than a few weeks.

btw, im like you, im just in it for fun.  i dont take training too seriously or really care about competing.

cascagrossa cool name. Any good places to train down in Miami?

i started with those guys, but i havent trained with them in a few years(since i left for college), but i plan to start training there again once i get adjusted to 1L life.

it wouldnt be a sequel, it would be another prequel during the old republic times.

i really hope lucas dies before that movie is made because i cant stand to see him destroy another star wars movie.

episode 1 and 2 werent just terrible star wars movies, they two of the worst movies i have ever seen, period.  episode 3 was better, but it was still really really bad.  i just cant get over the terrible writing and nonexistent acting.

empire > new hope > jedi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ep3 > ep2 > ep1
