Law School Admissions / Retaking in December. Do I still apply ASAP?
« on: October 22, 2004, 10:57:33 PM »
Just got my test results which I am not happy with.  Should I still apply before November like I initially planned even though I plan to retake the test in December?  Will it hurt my chances?  Will the schools which I'm applying to wait out till January when the new scores come out before they review my application?  I know I can score higher, I really needed to pee from sections 2-3 in October.

My Oct 04: 154

Alright guys, my experimental was a Logical Reasoning section.  But I did however register for the LSAT in June.

I don't know the answer.  But I was wondering where you're from and the 2nd tier school you're speaking of.  Cause I'm also from California, and looking to go to a tier 2.

Law School Admissions / Is it possible to appeal a rejection?
« on: October 09, 2004, 03:24:37 PM »
I've heard of people appealing a decision for undergrad admission, but never heard of anyone doing this for law school.  Is it possible?  Or is the decision final.

Baff, you had to pee too?  Man I wanted to walk out and pee so bad as well.  But I held it in and made it to the break.  The last two reading comp passages in section 3 suffered as a result though.

Oh, one more question.  I shouldn't take anymore practice tests right?  Just indivdually timed sections perhaps?

Damn, you're right.  Thanks for the advice.  If I went hardcore on the games from now till Saturday, think it's possible to bring the -8 to -1 or -2?

BTW, I've been in the process of redoing all the games from the lesson books and working through the LRO.

I just hope on breaking 160 on Saturday.  I wonder if it's possible, and I wonder if you can tell me.  Although my scores aren't up on TM, I got the answers and the scale from the test and compared them to what I circled on the booklet.

LR1: -6
RC:  -7
LR2: -8
LG: -8

I believe the raw score was 72.  Which got me a 158.  The RC passage about the Latin killed me.  As for LR2, I got stuck on a few problems for a little too long, and had to guess the last four.  I guess it's possible, but I shouldn't bet on it, since I won't know what'll happen next on Saturday.
