« on: August 02, 2005, 12:12:11 PM »
Anybody have any idea about student health insurance?  Is it even offered, or should I look for something myself?

California Western / Student Loans

Anybody checking out more than the estimated 47,000?

After recalculating what I'll need, I think I'm going to go over that amount.

California Western / Parking
« on: July 27, 2005, 01:02:36 AM »
After checking out the prices of parking per month, I've decided it'll be best to use public transportation such as the bus and the trolley.  Anybody else plan on doing this?

Incoming 1Ls / Typical costs of 1st year fall semester books
« on: July 25, 2005, 05:10:51 PM »
I refuse to believe the estimated cost of books per semester is $500.  Can anyone confirm or debunk this?

It might be good for my debt to credit ratio in the long run, but I think this might make my credit score drop at first.  What does everyone think?

Financial Aid / Student loans for other things?

If I end up having some money left over, is it OK to simply put my money in a CD or invest it in some other way?  What are the implications?  Anybody plan on doing this?

Incoming 1Ls / Medium sized law firms VS. BIGLAW...
« on: May 19, 2005, 09:43:14 PM »
With all the talk about BIGLAW, I canít help but think about the lifestyle of those in medium sized law firms?  How's the salary, how are the billable hours compared to BIGLAW?

What cons are there besides the extra year to finish and going to class at night?

Incoming 1Ls / For those who are going to school in Los Angeles...
« on: April 30, 2005, 02:08:04 PM »
For those who are going to school in Los Angeles, in what area do you plan to live?

Oh, and this would help those who are currently looking in any major city:

Anyone recommend this?  I'm fairly certain I can score higher, and I've been accepted to one of my backups elsewhere.  Is the trouble worth it in an attempt to improve my file?  It's been some months since I've looked at an LSAT question.  The school in question is Southwestern in Los Angeles.  The waitlist is not ranked, they will re-review the applications as spots open up, and the list itself goes on till August (a week before school starts to be exact).

I was waitlisted with 2.9/154.
