Thanks for the honest talk guys keep it coming I appreciate it.

Just to clarify, I won't fail the class, its just I won't recieve a grade high enough for it to count towards my major requirements, and it is one class, not two.

Hey Everyone, I would like people's feedback on my sitaution, especially if this has happened to you or someone you know.

I am in my last year of college and all about ready to be done. I already into law school and sent my seat deposit for full time in the fall. I'm pretty sure, that I failed one class, however, and I will need to take 1 or 2 during the summer. I would be done by august 13th at the latest. Two questions:

How unsual is this to happen, and does it affect my placement and scholarship at my law school.

Should I tell my law school what happened? I am not sure when I need to send final undergrad transcripts does anyone know? Anyone who has been in a similar situation please help, yes I was an idiot but senioritis was hard and now i'll pay for it during the summer.

My classes start August 21st. On one hand I want to tell them on the other hand I think, there really isn't a requirment that I finish by May, but I don't know, people give me some feedback/advice, yes I know I should've done better, what can I say.

Hey everyone, hope your cycle went well.

I was in the same position with Cardozo. I would never put myself in that much debt. Nothing is ever worth that much debt

Where should I go next fall? / Question about Curve in law school
« on: April 06, 2008, 12:03:52 PM »
Hi everyone.

Different school's have different stipulations with their scholarship offers. St. John's is top 50%, where as Seton Hall is a 3.2 or higher.

Someone once said that a 3.2 was the curve at Seton Hall, could someone explain what this means and what that would translate to in terms of class percentage, thanks.

El Che, the pt program is unique, everyone who enrolls in the pt program in may becomes full time automatically after the 1st year. The only difference between Cardozo pt and cardozo ft is cardozo pt starts in may and thus the fall and spring semesters you take one less class, after the first year you are in the exact same group as ft automatically. I know, its quite different than most PT programs

Rankings become more irrelevant if both schools are ranked high. BC has a great reputation, as does BU law. The difference is not that important, firms hire people not numbers.

Thanks Imagurl:

I would like to practice in NY/NJ,

The scholarship at Seton Hall requires a 3.2, of course I believe in myself, but that is a fairly high requirement for a scholarship correct, i'm not sure what % of the class that would place me.

As far as options, st. john's offered me 15k, i liked it, but I want to be in the city for law school. Also got into villanova, nyls, hofstra. but seton hall, cardozo and st. john's are top three.

As far as a break. One thing I like about the part-time program is that at cardozo it is essentially three 10 credit semesters, instead of the typical two 15 credit semesters, from what i hear this is a lot less stressful.
