This thread is making me reconsider going to law school

This is exactly what law school is like.  It's high school all over again.  If you didn't like high school, I doubt you'll like law school.

Sounds to me like you want to quit, but don't want people to think poorly of you.

People will not.  Who do you think people would despise more, the one who tried a new experience, didn't like it, so stopped.  Or the one who tried a new experience, hated it, but kept doing it for the approval of others.

I'd rather hang out with the first one.

I'm writing about the service of process in outer space.

Space is probably a good field for technology articles.

So is reproductive technology.  Did you know that there was a baby born from 21 year old sperm last month?

21 years.  If dad had died, that would have destroyed the rule against perpetuities.
That's a rich topic.

hookers and blow man.

Gotta practice thinking like a lawyer right?  Can't think like a lawyer without hookers and blow.

congrats!

Thanks.  I'm really excited.  I'll also be glad when it's over and I can stop planning the wedding.  I should really put "got married mid-semester" on my resume.  All the married employers will realize how valuable that experience is.

Hey everyone, I know there are a few people on here that I've had many pleasant discussions with who I consider to be friends of a sort.  This is for those people.  For everyone else, sorry for cluttering up the board with my personal life.

Dear Friends:

I am getting married on November 1st.  The other day Katie and I went to Disneyland for an engagement photo shoot (we got engaged at Disneyland).  Here is the direct link to a few of those pictures, for anyone who cares.

So Connecticut releases bar results and lets marriage proceed regardless of gender on the same day.  Way to go Connecticut.

Congrats on passing.

Thomas Jefferson in San Diego will accept non-graduates.  But you have to be pretty compelling.

1.  US News no longer has a Tier 2.  But most people consider 50-100 Tier 2
2.  The factors that go into individual ranking also go into T3/T4.  The only problem with T3/T4 being non-ranked is that it's really really hard to tell which schools in that group actually deserve the TTT and which ones are decent schools.  Once you get to the T3 line, you've really got to do your homework on each school individually.
3.  The T14 is a group of schools thought to have truly national placement.  If the 15 and 16 ranked schools wind up with that level of true national placement, then I would imagine the category would change.  As more and more law schools get accredited, I would look for the T14 to expand to 15/16 in the next decade.

Great blog.  Way to make the rest of us feel inadequate.
