I think its hard to say....I use to have a bit of an alcohol problem that culminated in me getting in trouble twice right after my freshman year. It's been almost 3 years now, however, based on my numbers, etc. these criminal infractions seem to be the reason I was deferred at one school and waitlisted at the other. I still got accepted pretty quickly to schools that were safeties, but I had to do some rethinking about schools that I originally thought were targets.

I went complete on Jan. 11th and got my letter on Feb. 7th. so I took 27 days from complete until I had a waitlist letter in my hand from Wisconsin.

i think this emails are pretty commonly sent out to everyone as a matter of course. I think for most people the consensus is that they don't mean anything.

I've been complete at Iowa since the end of December and I got a letter placing me in the "hold decision category" at the end of January. So I don't know what they're doing with you.
