Wait List / BYU
« on: March 29, 2008, 07:04:00 PM »
I got waitlisted today at BYU. The letter is dated March 28th. I'm not real surprised as I'm about as far from diverse at BYU as you can get...

FWIW, I called the University of Utah after they put me on the waitlist and asked what I could do. The only thing they mentioned was an additional LOR. I didn't identify myself so that was the generic response.

Don't feel too bad, I got waitlisted at OU with a 163, 3.55 non-OK resident. But I already withdrew so that bumps you up one spot I guess

Yesterday in the mail I got a small envelope that had registration info for ASURITE and instructions on setting up my ASU email address and how to get access to the Blackboard site. That is all.

Yeah I'm definitely thinking about it. It has great access to a growing market, I have friends down in AZ too. I just hope I get some financial aid to offset the cost of out of state tuition.

On the topic of race discrimination in admissions, the US Supreme Court has ruled twice on the issue (it's nice to work at a law firm so I can ask them about this stuff).
