Where should I go next fall? / Re: WUSTL vs. BU -- any thoughts?

To the outside world, WUSTL is more prestigious.  To the legal community, there is little-to-no difference in prestige.
Really? This is gonna sound trollish but... in NYC I never heard of Wash. U. until I started this whole law school process.

Right, WashU doesn't really get a lot of name recognition in NYC, but its a near universal top 15 undergrad.  It has a monster endowment and mad respect in much of the country.

BU, on the other hand, "isn't BC" - which is often a big surprise to most laymen and its undergrad is often ranked in the 60-100 group.

Like I said, it doesn't matter at all to legal professionals, but from the outside world WUSTL has a prestige advantage.  Most laymen don't look much farther than undergrad prestige, so certainly don't take it personally.
LOL... when I told my mom that I was waiting on BC waitlist, she said "Why would you rather go to a college than a university?!"

Hahaha

LoL

Gatornation: I will recommend that you try to do your drive east in the day light. You will have to drive (slowly) through the mountains on interstate 40 and it's a nightmare at night (I did it in the rain at night a few weeks ago).

I seconded that. That is a Very scary drive at night time. I did that my first drive to Nashville...

Going to the #1 law school within a market is usually a good idea as well.
