If there's even a small correlation, there's reason for me to "feel" like I can do very well. If anything, there's no reason for me to feel like I won't do well.
And I get that my risk of failure is lower at Boalt, but I really don't look at the glass half-empty like that. Even if I am ignoring a real possibility of not doing well at UCLA where I could have just gotten Ps at Boalt.
If it seems like I'm going with UCLA, I think it's because I am. I am tilted towards UCLA now, and as my deposit is coming up, I think I'm going to just put it down and wait out Yale's waitlist.
Thanks to everyone.

Thanks for the banter.
In my heart of hearts, I feel it is coming down to Boalt's grading system and faculty vs. UCLA fin aid and location.
The portability of Boalt's degree may be better, but I feel that if I go to UCLA I will be able to perform very well and attain a high GPA. Whereas if I went to Boalt, I would just take the easy street to passes and a couple high passes.
If UCLA would just pony up a full ride, I think I could make the decision today for it today. I really don't even know why thats the deal breaker.

What's OCI time?
I feel that my sports interest will need to be bolstered by networking ties, and if I plan on practicing in LA, doesn't that put UCLA a bit in front? Ugh I don't expect to get into biglaw, but I might, I guess I just don't know.
Also, Dean Edley is the man. No joke.

Haha ok who is she? Well UCLA is just the bomb, I did undergrad here, the ASW had open bars, tours, tours of law firms, they went the extra mile for sure...
Can't go wrong with that kind of hospitality

Yeah, thats the feeling I needed when I visited, and I never got it. Maybe I'm destined to go to UCLA.

Yeah, it's rare that people are represented by one person anymore. Teams help with exposure, marketing, endorsements, etc. I used to intern at IMG actually.
The reason I feel I can become one is that they have to come from somewhere, why not me? The sports markets are pretty comparable (Oakland/San Fran vs. LA) and if anything, nor cal might have more ins because of their higher number of teams (NFL puts em over).
So, I'm still stuck. Yeah, I have a really good friend WLd at UCLA too, and she's pushing me elsewhere also. Oh well, we will see I guess.

Can I ask what the Boalt fans truly like about the school? At the admit day, I wasn't overwhelmingly impressed. The city is definitely not as nice as Westwood, the school is kinda small. I REALLY liked the chairs in the classes though, so comfortable. At the activities fair, the sports law society didn't even show up
But I mean the main selling point for me was the grading system. Am I missing something that yall know about?

Thanks, but anything else you can offer me by way of info? Why Boalt? I mean can I go wrong with a jd from UCLA?
