I had no extracurriculars in undergrad. Is this bad for applying to law school?

Please invite me to the group. My username is the same.

Is it acceptable to get a recommendation from an assistant faculty professor? She's a PhD, UCLA, several published works, etc etc.

FAFSA does not ask for parent info in the case of graduate school applications.

Financial Aid / Question about paying for law school...
« on: February 17, 2008, 10:38:30 AM »
So, in order to go to law school I have to liquidate my assets and be jobless for 3 years. Fine. My question is: can student loans be used to cover things like credit card/auto loan debt, since I'll have to quit my job?

I would think you'd want to get them now, since the profs will remember you. Who cares if you don't apply for awhile? It doesn't change the recommendation.

I am thinking about possibly attending law school in a year or two, but want to get my letters of REC now as I just graduated undergrad. Are letters of recommendation dated, or no?

Does being homeschooled till 16 and then getting a GED look bad? I have an AA (3.79GPA) and a B.S. (4.0).

Law School Admissions / Re: Classes

Any other thoughts? I was actually considering not auditing them; I'm not worried about getting a poor grade, as I've never gotten anything other than an "A" in undergrad.

I would think it would be a poor decision to pay for classes that don't count towards a degree.

You will be paying plenty of $$ for classes in law school, save your wallet.

It's free through my employer...
