Law School Applications / Re: Accepted 08/09
« on: November 16, 2008, 04:50:35 PM »
In at Texas this past Thursday... old news, yeah, but hey. Several of my applications (<T16) are accordingly made worthless. Yay.

Dean Ingram is a pleasure to speak with.

Law School Applications / Deferring admission
« on: November 16, 2008, 04:35:50 PM »
I have a question about requesting a deferral of your admission.

If I am admitted to X law school with $Y scholarship, and I request a deferral to fall 2010, will my scholarship be deferred as well, or does that go out the window?

In at UT Austin via call from Ingram. Will I receive, if any, scholarship info in the formal acceptance package?

Did anyone attach "Why X" essays to any of their applications? I didn't.

Affirmative Action / Why do we get a big admissions boost?
« on: October 30, 2008, 02:21:36 PM »
I am having trouble understanding why, exactly, blacks get a boost in admissions. Is it simply because, for some reason, we generally score lower on the LSAT? Anyone have links to any good articles expanding upon the whys?

Law School Applications / Change address
« on: October 29, 2008, 11:37:46 PM »
Is it possible to change my mailing address with the schools I applied to AFTER having submitted my applications?

Hm I didn't notice you posted twice.  Glad I gave the same advice :D.  Have fun with Northwestern.

My diversity statement is kinda crappy (it's about a disability, but less than a page), and I made 1 grammar error on my PS. Hopefully I'll still get into one of the T14 I shot an app to.

Top 10, focusing on CCN.

I only have 8 months post-grad work experience. Should I still pursue Northwestern?

Probably not.

Fee waiver today. Applied.

Applications in. There goes my credit card.

Anyone care to predict responses from each of these schools I applied to?
