Random question...editing for law review- is it called spading or editing at your school?

We call it subciting (for correcting the sources and such), and editing for any changes made to the master by the editors.

Also, random aside: I did a search on Google where one of the results was Exile. I clicked on the link and it took me back to the golden age of this thread (early 2009-ish). Super fun times.

I'm happy for college football

Me tooooooooooo!!!

I'm happy for college football

I'm happy about that too, except that my team USC is banned from playing in any post season bowl games for 2 years.   :(

I'm especially happy about this :)

My worst class day is Monday. Luckily, I haven't had one of those yet -- we started on Wednesday, then no school this upcoming Monday for Labor Day. It'll be a rude awakening on Week 3  :-\

24
Sooooo...I really am not ready for school to start again  :-\

25
I mean, the fact that the website has a giant banner across the top (in red) that says LAW SCHOOL DISCUSSION doesn't help me be able to post here while in the library!

26
is everyone going to fall off the face of the earth again?

Probably  :-\

27
First day of EIP and got my first callback offer already. Yay!

28
Good luck, EFH! (almost used your real name in a very...well, YOU-like manner of outing someone).

Also, I have no callbacks. But that's probably because our OCI starts on Monday. Also, ready to vom at the thought of going through interviews. Not that I'm not a social butterfly (um, duh), but because I don't want to be around all the people freaking out.

29
Some people OCI's are currently going on right now.  That is absurd.

I wish I had more of an idea of what I actually wanted.

Oh and from reading ATL, Congrats to you on your offer.

Thanks :).  That's another reason why I was careful about the firms I bid on for OCI -- something sweet in the pocket just in case!

I can't imagine doing OCI so absurdly early. I mean, it's basically no vacation! I'm sad for Cornellians.

All the public interest people are now obsessing over whether or not they want to work at Simpson or Weil, etc.   Sell outs.

:D :D :D :D

It cracks me up when people say "Oh, I totally want to do [insert public interest job here], but I'm going to a firm for a couple of years to pay down my loans." Um, no. We have LRAP. Stop lying to yourself and others. If there's really a good reason, then go for it. But it's not to pay down loans, for sure.

are you ignoring OCI?

this is going to suck.

(although, tbf, this year is so far shaping up to be noticeably better than last year)

I figure if I ignore it hard enough, I can just breeze through the week with minimal agony?

Our OCI starts on August 23. I figure my week won't be as hectic as some others. I'll probably only get between 15-20 interviews from the lottery. Now, if those interviews are at 8am, I'm in trouble. The true Jamie Stringer sparkle doesn't start until about 11am.
