Studying for the LSAT / Re: How do I cancel the LSAT?

Do what the rest of America does - use a credit card and make minimum payments for the rest of your life (or at least until you graduate from L&C!)

Ha ha!  :)  Or at least take advantage of the grace period.  It helps to know when your billing period ends.  If you charge the test on the first day of your new cycle, you effectively have two months to pay for the test, during which time you should get 4 paychecks.  :)

Sounds like the voice of experience..

Did you know the SEAL team leader in The Rock was actually a member of the original SEAL Team 6?  Now there's a fact of little interest and no concern.

Just as a warning to future NC residents.  If you get a speeding ticket, go find a lawyer and pay him ~$300 to go to court and have it reduced down to an improper equipment violation.  Otherwise your car insurance will skyrocket and cost you more in the long run.

Watch the caffeine route.  Having a lot of experience with caffeine, ephedrine, etc.,  I can tell you that if you aren't used to it, it can screw you over when you start.  Do not decide the night before the test (or the morning of) to try something new.  If you normally have coffee / Coke in the morning, then stick with it.  Your herbals vary tremendously in dosage, even from batch to batch.  Your bigger name supplements will be more reliable (like TwinLab, Biotest, etc.) but if you do want to try something, start with a half dosage and see what happens during the day.  Watch what you eat because blood sugar changes coupled with a stimulant will freak you out at best and be dangerous at the worse.  I've tried tyrosine, noticed minimal effects about 30-45 minutes after taking, didn't end up using it for the test.  Simple carbs ended up working better coupled with a protein shake, had a meal replacement bar at test break to keep my energy up for the second half.  Good luck.

Really?  Care to explain?  I'm terribly curious/nosy :)

Long story.  I work full time, wife going to school (graduates summer of 05 - hopefully right before I start), two kids, house, etc.  My one shot is part-time LS at a high T2 5 minutes away from my job.  Moving isn't an option.  Should I apply to more?  Maybe, but I have no intention of going even if I get admitted.

Then the answer to your question is "No" not "Maybe."  :)  Thanks for satisfying my curiosity!  Best of luck with your application :)

Thanks, hoping my LSAT and 15 yrs WE whitewashes that wonderfully low UGPA.  I hope you get to have to make a choice between schools, kind of like job offers, always better to have more than one who wants you.

North Carolina is great - I used to live in Pinehurst about an hour south of Raleigh.  We have good friends who still live in Cary - better known as the Containment Area for Relocating Yankees - just south of Raleigh.  Friend did Med school at Duke - loved it.  I found there's a very strong network among Duke grads in the South.  Weather is great, COL is very reasonable, plus the beach is a couple hours away.  Decent airport and interstate access for travel.  I wouldn't mind going back.

kgd, what is the story behind your avatar?

Yeah, it kind of freaks me out everytime I see it, like there's some sort of subliminal message with it.
