Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Re: Suffolk Law - Visit Review

Congratulations Old, you did it.  You proved to Cosmo (and the world!) what a bad lawyer she will be.  And to think, all it took was making yourself look like a complete tool.

So I have been in mental anguish over the last month trying to figure out a way to hit a home-run with this personal statement, and I think I finally settled on something.  It is less WOW, and more straight forward than my previous attempts.  I am a 2.5 gpa (3.7 the last 5 semesters), and 161 lsat, so I needed to find a way to incorporate my upward trend without sounding whiny.  Did I accomplish that?  Please give me your input!  Thanks so much in advance.

Law School Admissions / Fake ID
« on: January 10, 2008, 12:06:34 PM »
Ugh, it seems like this was a lifetime ago, but I need to write an addendum explaining why I was 'arrested' for using a fake ID.  I can't seem to find any examples of addendum that clarify things like this, and would like some direction if someone is kindhearted enough to provide it.

Thanks for your interest.  I am trying to complete my personal statement, and I feel fairly good about it.  I would absolutely love it if one or two of you wouldn't mind taking a peek at it, and tell me what you think.  Thank you SO much in advance for any time you spend helping me with this, may karma be kind to you!

Anyone interested in looking over my resume, which I *hope* to be my final draft?  Thanks so much in advance!

Anyone out there willing to take a peek at my resume, and cut it into tiny little pieces?  I would really appreciate some insight, if anyone is willing to provide it!

Choosing the Right Law School / Federal Loans?!
« on: January 04, 2008, 08:57:30 AM »
Quick question for anyone out there who might have the skinny on federal loans.  I am making 75k/year right now, and am considered 'independent'.  Of course, when I begin law studies I will have to quit this job, so my income will become 0 (or somewhere near there).  Do federal loans take in to account the fact that you really cant work while you are in law school?  Will my income seriously hinder me from getting these loans?  Thanks so much in advance!

Anyone interested in reading a very rough draft of my personal statement?  I would love to hear how it could be improved!  Thank you so much for your time and interest.
