greenie, thanks a lot for the congrats mate!  I'll probably end up going to Northeastern (I sent the deposit today), but I'm going to see what Temple offers as far as financial aid first.  I haven't been out there yet, but I like what I've read so far about Temple.

Please, for the love of god, don't get a pinstripe suit if you are only getting one.

Haha, I have to agree with Guy on this one.  Pinstripe suits, unless the stripes are white/gray and very subtle, are ridiculous.  I'd recommend just going to the suit section of a department store and there will probably be one or two salesmen there to help you with fitting, style, etc, and you probably won't have to pay more than $300

A whole month and a half, eh?  Haha, if you're around Boston (I noticed that you mentioned Cambridge in your post), there's a great "soccer" bar in Brighton called Roggies.  They have ~ 10 big plasmas that play all the EPL and Serie A matches on the weekend.

Also, I'd be remiss not to heckle Man U fans here, as I'm watching the Champions League semis right now on ESPN2.  How did Ronaldo miss that kick?!?!  ;D

Go Blues!

penn263, if you're looking for housing around the BC area, I'd be glad to help; a few of my buddies have real estate licenses and work in that area.  Also, since almost all juniors at BC live off-campus, I know lots of people that have lived around BC with mixed results, so if you're looking at a particular apartment building or street, I could probably get you a review or an "inside take" of the area.  You said you didn't mind paying a bit extra for a single, so one of the first places I would recommend is 2000 Commonwealth Ave (both the address and the name of the building).  It's a REALLY nice place, and it's right on the shuttle bus, which you can take to main campus to get on the Newton bus, which will take you to the law school.  The Green line (the T, or "subway" if you're not from Boston, haha) is also literally a five minute walk.  Good luck mate!

Accepted at Villanova via status checker - the decision was made on 9 April, but I haven't been checking it every day.  Better late than never, I guess, haha.

I'm not sure if I'd leave Boston for Philly (accepted at Northeastern and Suffolk, and waiting on BC), but it's definitely nice to have the option!

My financial aid "package" (really just a cover letter and one page outlining the breakdown) came today from Northeastern.  They gave me some small $1,500 scholarship on top of the one they already gave me, so I'm stoked about that.  A little jarring trying to do the math and seeing how far into debt I'm going to go, though, haha.  Good thing Northeastern has co-ops...

What did they originally give you?

I originally received a $25,500 scholarship (over three years, so $8,500 per year) with my acceptance, and with the aid package came an extra $1,500, and then some Stafford loans and such.  Can't complain about free money, but the thought of possibly being $100,000 in debt is a bit jarring to say the least, haha.  If I go to Northeastern, I'll definitely be glad to have the opportunity to work full-time with the co-op program in 2L and 3L (it'd be really nice to land one of those summer associate jobs at $3,600 a week, ;) )

I would say that you're golden at Northeastern.  They gave me a scholarship and pretty decent financial aid with lower numbers than your own (3.15, 167).

Not to knock Northeastern by any means (they could be my future alma mater after all, haha), but with those numbers, why not try BU or BC as well if you're interested in Boston?
