Law School Admissions / Resume - Computer Skills?
« on: December 23, 2007, 10:13:32 AM »
Should computer skills be on the resume? is this at all relevant or wasted space?

I'll take a look, send it over...

Hi. PM it over. I am willing to read if you'd like. I am very good a editing. Let me know if you would like to swap. I am on my final draft.

I will be glad to take a look or swap if you'd like. I am on my final draft.

I wrote my personal statement to address open-ended prompts like those that say we can write about anything, backgroud, diversity, challenges, etc. It was my understanding that these could also be like diversity statements, since they do not ask for a diversity statement specifically. So I wrote my paper about my background. In a nut shell, I am Mexican-American. Parents believed in education, public schools were not good, bought rental property to help send us to private school. Hard toll on my family financially and physically since we had to do all the work to repair them, etc. Storm devasted our property, we did not have flood insurance, I learned alot about the law in the process, etc.

So my question is... if they are not asking for diversity statements, but have open-ended prompts that may "address diversity" shouldn't my personal statement then include my diversity???

Would any one be willing to look at my final draft and see if i did this all wrong?? thanks.

PS. The reason I ask, is I sent my paper for a quick look to and she said it was a diversity statement, but none of the TX schools I am applying to ask for a diversity statement...HELP!!!

Need help! Final draft for review. Thanks.

Just finished my personal statement. Would any one like to give me their thoughts? Open-ended prompt on background, diversity, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated...
