My box came today too! Whew!
oh boy, I was the one who had said priority mail originally not meaning literally priority mail, but to describe the size of the box, as in "hey, like one of those priority mail, flat-rate boxes".
Sorry mates, didn't mean to drive you all bananas. Regular mail. In a box.
they don't come priority mail, it's normal mail
I tend to think I am getting rejected. It said they mailed on the 9th, but I thought they did Priority Mail for acceptances. Since I haven't gotten anything, I would think it's a ding.
I'm really kind of puzzled (although happy for the people who appear to have gotten in!) - I applied in September, and haven't heard a peep from UVa.
Yikes, decision mailed. I think I'm going to have a panic attack. How long should this take to get to the northeast?
It shouldn't be a problem on the FAFSA. There are certain conditions you must meet to be considered independent. I'm 29, married with 2 kids and I haven't had to list my parents' info on there since I've been in school.
The problem will come in when(if) you fill out additional paperwork at the schools themselves to be considered for need-based scholarships. Depending on the school, some are real pains about it and require you to list your parents' info regardless of your age or marital status. Buncha bull if you ask me.
Vandy - big priority mail box
