When I called the financial aid off, I explained that I had filled out their school-specific aid form when I submitted my app, but that I didn't get my FAFSA in until mid-March. They said I should still get my aid package.
I can't remember who mentioned Highland View, but I'm liking this place. Quality apartments with reasonable suites for $650 seems pretty good. Currently my #1 choice.
Someone linked to Emory Apartment finder. I tried to submit something, but something seems to be messed up in their script and is not letting me submit.
Elle, what happened with the whole PM me your spreadsheet?!
(Oh, and I thought about friending you, but I'm totally embarrassed about posting here something like SEVEN HUNDRED TIMES, so I'm going to keep everything a secret and deny any affiliation with LSD!)
Well, Decider...I wanted to PM it to you...then I remembered this post:
1L's can pay $1000 for the year or $500 per semester to park @ Emory Inn across the street. There are less than 40 spots. Whereas you pay close to $700 for the entire semester for a parking deck not near the school. Another way is if you ride a scooter or ride a bike. You can also park at the various malls (tho kinda far)l and ride MARTA. There is also one guy that I know that just parked around campus (& he was always late to class). Emory's campus police (who are real police, not rent-a-cops) catch you they will tow you or hand you a ticket costing $$$.
I intentionally avoided posting this so that I could get one of those 40 spots.
And now you're not even going to friend me???
Ha, actually, I've been trying to add stuff to it, plus it's sort of tailored to what amenities I wanted, so hopefully it will still be useful to you, but don't worry, I'll get it to you soon...

I went to decision on 3/27 too...but my numbers are not that great.

p.s. have you figured out who everyone is yet?
...I have some guesses, but I'm probably a really bad guesser, people just need to friend me or something lol

Hey, where exactly are the Clairmont apartments/parking-and-shuttles at? On the website, it gives me the address of something that looks to be almost a mile off campus, but it seems like everyone here considers it on-campus ... ??
And is there a good image of all the bus routes?
Wow, as you were posting that I was about to type the exact same thing. I was also wondering why mapquest says that address doesn't exist for the parking garage...is there another place around there I could use the address for that might work? I'm trying to add a section to my spreadsheet about distance from various parking.

I'm ruling out Post. I want everyone else to as well. Apparently, the current 2L's were really big in requesting Post last year, and that caused a lot of people to move over there. Maybe you 1Ls this year could tell everyone that Post is overpriced and bad. The only reason that I wanted to move out there originally was because everyone else was doing it.
Fight the power!
(I'm totally in.)
I've narrowed the search down to VaHi and the neighborhood just southeast of campus.
I'm pretty much ruling out Post as well. All I've been doing for the past two days is looking for apartments near Emory. I made a spreadsheet of a bunch of places that were in my price range and compared amenities and distance from the law school and then made up a word document with all the floorplans, so all I have to do is visit now and hope something good is available! We def have to get all the 1Ls not to live in Post next year

5606 posts and counting, Bearly’s LSD obsessed
In law school next year y’all are gonna be impressed
Acceptances in the bag, with his 1-6 to the 3
It’s becoming clear y’all ain’t got nothin’ on Bearly
He’s the number one bear with BU on his mind
Those other schools be sad because they’re gonna be declined
From his avatar it’s clear, he’s a playboy at heart
But don’t underestimate him ‘cause this playbear is smart!
If there’s one thing you should know about this legal bear
(And if you’re in his section, you better prepare)
Because Bearly’s got skills and you can’t compare!

Yes, Tier 1 is the USNWR top 50, and Tier 2 is 50-100. However, you will also hear a lot of distinction between the top 14 schools and the rest of the top 50.
