Im strongly considering UGA as my top choice right now..
Coming from New Orleans and currently living in DC, I am in shock at the cost of living in Athens.. It is sooooo cheap.. Im thinking I should buy a condo or house instead of renting for my 3 yrs. of law school.. Will my loans cover the mortgage (they dont care what you do with your money once you have it.. right).. I mean, Ive already got enough saved to put 20% down (Ive been working 3 yrs. as an engineer).. I just have never thought about buying before.. Should I get an agent? Is it a long process?.. recommendations??!?! Anyone know anything about Athens realestate?!
I moved to D.C. to be with a girlfriend.. we have since had a falling out.. I got accepted to GW law pt program.. my original plan was to do that and continue to be an engineer to save money.. Now that the ex-girlfriend is out of the picture im thinking i'd rather do fulltime.. The problem is.. I got waitlisted at Emory, BC, and WUSTL.. so my choices for fulltime come down to UGA and Tulane.. I went to Tulane for undergrad and LOVED it.. but Im thinking I want to try out a new place... The couple of times Ive been to Athens I really enjoyed it.. So.. my question is.. would i be stupid to pass up on GW part-time for UGA fulltime law school?!!?
