Why can't you apply to the AF JAG until your third year. They have a board this Feb for 2L's in for the One Year College Program....

I wish I could give you advice but I honestly don't know anything that can help other than start working now on your letters of recommendation and your personal statement.

I would like to know how much the ranking of the school matters.

THanks, I interviewed with the XO and should be interviewing with the CO soon.. If it is the ranking of my school (Tier 3) that is the problem, I don't see a reason to re-interview.....

I got my acceptance email on Thursday afternoon. I'm a 2L, and LCDR Goldsmith said that they took 12 of 97 applicants.

Congratulations.. I got the generic rejection email that was addressed to all of us that didn't make it.. The CDR that I interviewed with emailed me yesterday and suggested I reapply and reinterview with the CO of he NLSO and maybe that will help..

Can't help but be discouraged and disappointed.

Well I am a 2L and I received the nice little rejection email... I guess I will be making the 6 hr drive again to get interviewed. The only thing I can think that hurt me was my school ranking, but not sure if that matters or not.. I have a solid GPA, military experience, good letters of recommendation, and my interviewer told me my rec from him was good. I don't know, all I know is that I will keep reapplying till I can't anymore.

My best friend was accepted to the AF GLP last year and he is having fun watching me squirm and wait.. He didn't think it was funny when it was him doing it last year... This is cruel.

I hear the Air Force JAG is the best...! I guess the only thing the Navy has going for itself is that their uniforms look sharp!...In regards to "Mcleod", you sound very intelligent, highly motivated, and in the top of your class...I'm sure they will accept you. Are you prior!!??... I think military lawyers are sexy!! I bet you will look sexy as a JAG!!

LOL!!!
