jwax, you answered my question perfectly! Thanks, in the hypo I was talking about (I didn't type it all) there was some more dialogue that could possibly be construed as statements or actions by the officer to try and elicit a confession. I just wanted the basic rule.
I understand that the 6th amendment right is offense specific and somewhat differs from the 5th amendment right but didn't know if the waivers were the same.

What exactly are the elements necessary for a valid waiver of the 6th amendmenr right to counsel. If a person has been indicted and asks for a cigarette, the guard gives him one, and the accused begins to confess. Are his statements admissible.

Our school had some really bad issues with Exam Soft conflicting with pharos printing software. Our IT department refuses to acknowledge that it is the issue. However, after I uninstalled pharos from my comp I haven't had any issues with Exam Soft.

I can't remember if I posted this already but I wanted to provide a link for a discussion group that I started so that those that are applying, have applied, or have been accepted can exchange ideas and information. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JAGApplicants/Thanks,

I just looked at the websites and got the instructions. I know that for most you have to submit a visiting/transient student app, provide a letter of good standing from the dean, a transcript, and an app fee. But then again, those are only for the schools I looked at. I do not know about other schools.

Thanks.. I did look into it last year a little bit. The ex-assistand dean suggested that I visit to a school. we can have upto 30 credits as a visting student.
I am going to apply for a clerkship and a CLI at the SA or PD's office. Anything to get my name out there. I don't think I could get a paid internships there.
I do appreciate all the advice.. You guys rock!!!

THanks.. I will follwo your advice. It doesn't have to exactly be Miami but South Florida would be perfect... Hopefully, I will be able to break the market. But then again, I go to a third tier school in IL..

what do you mean by exchange? By connections would serving in the military in FL, having friends and fam from FL be good enough connections.
