I was told that I needed to request informational interviews and drive all the way to FL so I can meet with them in person. I was also told to write EVERY SA and PD office in FL.. WOW!

In the OYCP if selected you must attend a 4 week "expeditionary training" at Maxwell AFB in AL. You will also likely have to attend the extended version so you can catch up with the rest of the Cadets.
If you are selected for a position you are guaranteed a JAG position unless something medically disqualifies you are you do not make it through ROTC and Field Training. 45

For the OYCP once you are selected you have to report to the local ROTC det and let them know you are selected. You will get an expeditionary training allocation and go to field training this year. Next academic year you will have to complete some ROTC courses, participate in PT, and other stuff. It isn't too awful bad.
I applied to the OYCP as well, I guess I didn't make it because I had no call from my SJA at all. 46

Although not in it for the money I would like to not have to worry about bills pay day to pay day and I noticed something.
An SA in Miami makes about 1 grand more a month than an SA in Jacksonville, but the cost of living is extremely more expensive. What is up with that? Although I have been told (by someone NOT ON THIS BOARD) to not even try to get an SA job in a big city. 47

LOL. I received that letter on Saturday. I was a little upset with the tease.... By Board I meant was it for the GLP, OYCP, or DA program. I applied for the OYCP. If you got a call from the SJA today it was likely good. Unfortunately I didn't receive such a call, nor do I expect to.
