so still no word from stanford after being complete on 12/5. can ANYONE tell me if that is good news, bad news, etc.? what were stanford's general admission trends in past years?

I'm interested in women;s rights and its intersections with the law. I'm also bummed that we won't hear till April, it is definitely a big factor in my decision. I'm not getting my hopes up though -- I was stupid and turned in the app a few days before the due date only to be told that the scholarship process was "rolling." I'm reasonably confident that they already had most if not all the scholars picked out before the due date... 34

I sent a letter of continued interest/update to my resume after getting the email. No problem, I troll the site enough I figure I should give something back.  I am also out of school, so I emphasized a fellowship I won and a big event I took responsibility for at work (which I think can be a good trick for anyone out of school). I also added two paragraphs or so of a "why boalt" at the end, since there wasn't a space for it in the initial application. I did a lot of research for that part, and made sure that I listed programs and opportunities that were unique to Boalt, and linked them with my interests. The whole thing was about one page, single spaced. Hope this helps! 39
