I'm about 80% WUSL, 20% George Washington.  If anyone has thoughts, I'd appreciate it.

There was a world of difference in OCI between the 2.  Although GWU had higher numbers, I think WUSL is much better since you're at least guaranteed to get something out of the early interview.  I do worry though that people will think I'm some social climber since I transferred (but then I'd point out that my 1L school has only 50 employers signed up, and it's in the 4th largest city in the US) I'd prefer to be stuck in DC if I turn into a crap law student, but it seems that WUSL is the better school objectively.

Any thoughts?

I know the security clearance thing asks about drug use within the last year...I think it's probably a bad idea to withhold information there.  I'm not sure whether occasional marijuana use is an automatic ding, though...

I concur, and I will add.  As someone who has/had security clearances, tell them the truth and don't do it anymore.  If you don't do it anymore then you can explain it to them as the "youthful indescretion," which is what they want to hear.

I don't think they are better or worse.  I just find them to be very different from my experience.  I was pretty conversational with my undergrad profs, but for the most part I avoided ls profs like the plague.  Most of them are very socially awkward people, I found.  Get to know your legal writing prof and 1 substantive prof if it kills you since having 1 who could write a letter for you for transfer/job/whatever is very important and none of your classmates will really expend time on that front.

I'm from Chicago years in Texas now.
I've always thought St. Louis to be a cesspit, but friends who live there now, including WUSL students, say it's pretty decent.  It's only for 2 years, at least.

Yeah, my sentiments exactly.  Your performance mirrors mine.  I suppose that to some extent they have a FTT quota, and they are maxed out already.

Maybe they are worried US News is going to want transfer numbers soon and so they are protecting themselves?  pure speculation on my part though.

me 3.

what kills me about the deal is that my grades went up to probably top 1% from 2% during second semester.  The moral of the story though:  Don't screw around in college and get good grades in the first place.

I'm waiting.

that's interesting.  I had called to ask questions and the lady asked if I had scheduled mine yet, saying they would have called to arrange one once my application became complete.  That might be why you haven't heard?
