Do you think that Cooley's jingle was performed by the same people who did Budweiser's American Hero ad campaign?

Hey, there is a really interesting article linked through talkingpointsmemo.com about how the OSD wants to change the promotion procedures for JAGs and require "coordination" through the general counsel of each branch, a political appointee.
I don't know what to make of it, but that sounds really, really creepy to me. The old TJAG of the Army, Romig, who is the dean of the law school I want to attend, had some apocalyptic quotes about the plan.
There is nothing more hideous than undue command influence.
Congrats on FLEP... just curious, did you graduate from the Point? I've met about 2 people who were accepted who were ROTC or OCS types.
I was a 27D for 4 years, going to law school in the next year and probably try to get direct commission after that.
I would speculate that you will probably be admitted by a law school.
I have a feeling your bigger issue will be getting admitted by the bar of whatever state in which you want to practice. You might want to feel out the state's board of examiners and see if you can get a vibe from them. I imagine you'd hate to get through law school and then not be allowed to practice.
Weeks ago, some of us noted that Widener sent out a blast email to about 100 applicants informing them that their apps were complete. The amusing this was that it was from a 2L, and she didn't bcc: people. Anyways, for giggles, I emailed her about 10 days ago asking some banal questions.
I and someone else I know who did the same have never heard back. Now, in principle, I think it's a great idea as far as a recruiting tool, but wow, if you're going to email like that, it's probably a good idea to have someone who is reponsible enough to respond to emails.
