General Board / Re: Fordham Or UHouston for regional jobs...

they are both fine for where they are - they don't translate though.  All things being equal, UH probably sets you up better for success in Houston than Fordham does in NYC

Cardozo.  There is not much movement from here to NYC right now, and geographic location matters in this climate.

Yeah, you can try to get Loyola to match, but many schools are having issues right now with endowments, so who knows.

The more important issue concerning the scholarships is the requirements to keep the scholly.  You need to know the GPA/class rank you need to keep the money, and then determine which might be easier to maintain.  Also, ask how they put people in sections.  It's possible that they load one section with students on schol and then let you battle it out to the death, so to speak, knowing that many of you will therefore lose money after the first year.

there are attorneys who handle these matters.  If you have a formal hearing, you better talk to someone to ensure it's not stacked against you.

Good luck.

Branching is not all based off of LDAC. 40% of the calculation is your GPA.

HAHA..that probably explains the FA officers I knew.

I'd just apply quickly and stay on top of them if it starts getting late.  Can you even apply at this point in the year?

The 20 hour thing is for 1L only, if I remember correctly.  I know people who worked more hours, I don't think the ABA gestapo came looking at their timesheets.

It's not comparable.  The new school doesn't add you for anyone's stats, so you're just a cashcow to them.
Make sure your current school is cool with it.  I've heard, anecdotally, of more than one T20 that doens't like letting students visit, probably, again, for cash reasons.

I'd highly recommend it.  I know a couple of people who visited and loved the change of scenary.

Dude, I don't know enough about you or their thought process to say you have zero, especially if you can sell your dedication and love of the army that you'll do 20.  That said, I know it's tough and if your heart would be broken without being assigned to a USASOC unit just keep that in mind.  Needs of the Army is a goofy animal.
