Where should I go next fall? / Re: Univ FL v. FL State

Florida's great if you're rich, white, old, and live in SW Florida (gulfcoast), south of the Tampa Bay area (namely Sarasota, Naples, etc.).

Law School Applications / Re: how much is an Ivy GPA worth?

From what I've read, your UG institution doesn't really make a difference.  However, getting a high LSAT score does.  That's how adcomms discriminate between the applicant who earned a 4.0 at StateU and the applicant who earned a 3.5 at Haaaahvard.  So don't add anything to your GPA. You should just wear a Princeton shirt every day from now until you get a job.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: What Would G. W. Bush Score on the LSAT?

so scores really weren't in multiples of 10 back then?

but it was in 10's by the time that saved by the bell episode came out, where jesse got a 1500, and zach beat here with 1502.  that always bothered me :)

The poster said the scores were recentered in 1994, three years AFTER Zack and Jessie had taken them.  Also, Zack got a 1502 while Jessie got a 1200, not a 1500.

Law School Rankings / Re: Rankings By Tuition
« on: July 22, 2004, 03:57:41 AM »
These figures are way off.  I know UF's tuition is currently over $5000 (it was $4,900 and just went up t0 $5,200, I believe)for in state and UofArizona is now $12,600.  Maybe these figures are old.
