General Board / Con law prospects

I am a 0L looking for some advice.  I'm extremely interested in many aspects of constitutional law: federalism, separation of powers, bill of rights, etc.

Are there any top firms that actually have work available in those types of fields, or am I destined to work in government?  If I must work in government, what types of steps should I take to get to a career that involves those fields?

There's no way Jefferson or Madison deserve to be on these lists - especially not Madison (and I love James Madison).  Barbary Pirates, Impressment, and the War of 1812...not so good days for the Jeffersonian-Republicans.

There is also absolutely no way that any president deserves to be no.1 except for Washington.  We wouldn't even have a stable Presidency except for Washington.
