Setting aside for the moment the debate between which schools are better than which, and which schools fit into which tiers, grant me for the second that T14 tiers are roughly similar to:
We often talk about how schools in each tier are roughly equivalent, but specialize in different things. My question, though, is exactly how significant are the divisions between these tiers? I wondered this even before I came to LSD: namely, how much better would you have to finish at DNGC to have roughly equal career chances to some one in PMVB? Likewise, how much higher in your class would you have to finish at CCN to have roughly equal chances to those students at HS? How radical are these results different when you consider BIGlaw, Clerkships, Political Future, etc.? How much can a good personality/good grades compensate a DNGC student when competing with some one at CCN?

When do you suppose LSN will update its graphs to reflect only the most current (after June-ish) acceptances?

In at Penn today, ED.
Got a call from Dean of Admissions. I'm so excited...and the cycle's over now, finally.

I'm sure this has been debated a thousand times, but I was just curious what you think:
Given that the T14 have remained the same since the early 90s, creating a cycle that reinforces their status, when, if ever, do you see another school cracking the T14? Will they remain the same forever, as long as USNews continues ranking them? What schools do you see in the biggest danger of falling? Which schools could jump into the T14?

I found LSD a month ago. Of course, I'm already addicted, like every one else here. Last week, I came across many references to "xoxo" and had no idea what that was. After finding it through google and partaking in its crappiness, I've come to the conclusion that LSD is far superior not only in quality of website, but also in quality of regular posters.
You guys rock. Thanks for all of your help so far.
And xoxo sucks.

Where should a 162/3.85 URM with an interest in international law apply? My friend is in that situation.
She has applied to Wisconsin, OSU, American, U Texas, Fordham, and Vandy.
Where would you recommend looking with those types of stats? Don't just refer me to lsn either! Need some quality ideas...

My last recommender sent in my final letter on Friday November 2nd. It has now been nearly two weeks, and LSDAS has still not processed the letter. Of course, as school after school completes my application and I'm missing my final LOR, I'm starting to freak out.
Is any one else in the same position as me? How long should I keep compulsively checking LSAC's LOR database to see if the letter has arrived until I should be able to legitimately start to be worried that something's gone wrong?

I just submitted my app early today for Penn. My GPA is 3.97 (from Ohio State), and my LSAT is at 169. Good research/Internships in DC and strong LORs. What do you think my chances are of getting in?
