Where should I go next fall? / Re: UC Hastings v US Davis
« on: March 26, 2008, 02:42:11 AM »
how many of these threads does there have to be?

for PI and government, i would rate them about the same.

for biglaw, i would give the edge to UC Hastings.

for prestige, i would give the edge to UC Hastings.

for environment, it would depend on whether you prefer the city (UC Hastings) or a more suburban environment (Davis).

for out-of-state employment, i would give the edge to UC Hastings.

for alumni, i would give the edge to UC Hastings.

with all that said, i know people from both who are doing great in CA so you have two very good options.

good luck.

well said.  I'm referring people to your post from now on.

University of San Francisco to Tier 3?

all it took for berkeley was getting rid of the "boalt hall" thing, apparently.

lol yup that what was holding them back the *whole time*

i keep saying if nyu just changed their name to princeton law school, they'd be ranked #2 overnight.
If Seton Hall changed their name to Princeton, they'd be number 2 overnight.

I'm not so sure about that...

I CANNOT explain how angry this makes me.

can you try anyway?

what about it makes you angry specifically?

Well, it's not the jump of CLS over NYU.  I actually think that one is deserving.  I am just completely baffled at how Berkeley beat Penn and Chicago!!  WTF!?

Sunstein.

it is legible and that is all that matters.
