FWIW, I interned at an Office of the Federal Public Defender during my 1L summer and really enjoyed my experience there. It has not hurt me at all this fall during 2L OCI/callbacks. PM me if you have any specific questions.

I think the pocket version is very useful since you can carry it around easily and quickly reference it while reading cases. I used mine quite a bit during 1L. It's also only $30.
The hardcover version is too big IMO and like others have said, there is no need to pay for a digital version since you can get free access to one through Westlaw. 5

I think all of our (Dash, Unbiased, etc.) collective energy would be better utilized preparing for exams than bickering on an online discussion board though! I got my question answered... thank you to everyone who replied. Here's to the last Friday night of fun until summer
