Studying for the LSAT / Re: LSAT Analog Watch Tip
« on: July 01, 2008, 12:33:06 AM »
In addition, It always took a few seconds for me to get a sense of where, on my watch, the 8:45, 17:30, 26:15 marks were.

Good Lord, a 2-page thread about telling time?

Set your watch to noon. At 35 after, the section is over. [/thread]

All of my undergrad loans (which are quite small, thankfully) have been sold or transferred to other loan servicers: although I was quite selective when choosing a lender, in the end my loans are being handled by a company I would not have chosen.

However, I initiated the process through the bank which currently holds my mortgage and personal banking accounts: while this didn't save me very much on my student loans, it did simplify the application process and earned me a free interest-bearing checking account.

When Chuck Norris substitutes a baked potato for his fries, the waitress pays Chuck Norris $2.50.

Hands down, funniest post I've read on LSD...   :D

You're still posting here? I thought you got banned, as I've noticed you've been re-posting many of your old threads from several months ago over on TLS. The study group suggestion thread seems to be just as despised there as it was here. Congratulations.

Just not getting enough traffic on the ol' blog, huh?

Is this spam?  He's just copy/pasting entries from his blog.

"Spamming" is of course a subjective term, but repeatedly starting pointless threads that link to another site is something many folks would consider spam...

I tried a few weeks back to download the appropriate form from student health services, which indicates you have your own health insurance and will not be participating in Tulane's plan, but it wasn't available.

So….should I print the wikipedia Broken Window Theory entry out and give it to the Barnes & Noble workers anonymously?

No, no - simply mentioning your blog should keep most people away from you...

Glad to see you were able to turn a potentially awkward situation into another opportunity to self-promote your blog... your tireless spamming is truly an inspiration.

I had originally planned to move everything I own, but after pricing out a move from the Northwest to New Orleans via a wide variety of options, selling off as much as I can and buying new (new to me, anyway) things in New Orleans is the best option. I've actually done quite well selling things, and will be able to pack the remainder, clothes and a few odds and ends I can't part with, in a UHaul trailer.

In the end, if I can find decent furniture on Craigslist or consignment shops, I may just be able to relocate without any significant moving expenses.

On a side note - how in God's name do some of these locals I see walking around in a suit and tie -  complete with straw hat -  on a hot, sunny, day not break a sweat? I'm beading up just standing still in shorts and flip-flops during the mid-afternoon...
