Hello all and thanks in advance for your replies!

I have been considering attending law school now for several years. I have battled with the LSAT and taken it twice. One score I cancelled, the other a 154. I have a 3.9 GPA from a Arizona State University. Anyway, I have applied to several schools and have been accepted to a few and am still waiting on a few for decisions. So far I have been accepted to Phoenix School of law (15k per year scholarship), Cal-Western School of Law (Full tuition for first year, 1/2 tuition for 2nd and 3rd year), University of Denver (no money), and Seattle University (no money). I have been wait-listed at University of Miami and I am still waiting to hear from University of Arizona, Arizona State, and University of San Diego in which I know I am a long shot. For years I have researched and researched attending law school and never thought of attending a T3 or T4 school, but I am seriously considering attending Cal-Western...I am not going to law school to make a fortune, I genuinely want to obtain the education I have always wanted, I want to KNOW the law. I also want to get out of law school with as little debt as possible. So my question is...Is it a bad decision to attend Cal Western with a 2/3 ride scholarship?

Hey all, Im having trouble with my PS. Anyone want to read and give critque would be much appreciated and I will def return the favor.

Thanks. I was actually already considering applying to Seattle and Gonzaga but I have never even visited that part of the country. I have a coouple friends that moved up there from Arizona and love it. Wonder if I would like it there. Maybe I will take a roadtrip soon :)  Thanks again Ninja, you have been a lot of help.

Thanks. A 154 was a choke for me as I was expecting at least a 160. My goals are slightly different than most on this board as I would be more than happy to stay in Arizona and go to Arizona State or the U of A. However, I don't have a very good chance at either school which really make me want to take the lsat one last time. Would it hurt to apply to these schools with my current scores, retake in Feb, and if I do significantly better wait until next year? What do you think? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. Im really leaning towards taking the lsat again. Its very encouraging to hear you had a cancel, choke, and a 173! If you don't mind telling, what was your "choke" score?

I have a 3.9 GPA from a large public University, 154 LSAT. I have been out of school for two years working with at-risk children in the community. Have worked in the behavioral health sector and also with high-risk children on probation and parole. I would like to work in the public sector upon graduation from law school and work in child advocacy. I have taken the LSAT twice and cancelled my first score. My practice average was about 160 with a 165 as my highest practice test. I just choke on test day so I really dont know if I should give the LSAT one last crack. What do you guys think my chances of getting into these schools and do you have any other suggestions for schools that may accept me with my numbers? Thank you!

So far...
Arizona State

My initial diagnostic was a 144. Now I range from 158-162 on average with 165 being my highest score on a PT, so I think a 20 point increase is definately possible.
