I just got an acceptance from a school where the median LSAT is 163! (ChiaShu said 25%) So, I guess it's true... you never know unless you try  ;)

Am I the only one that keeps hearing that and feels compelled to apply to schools out of my range "just to see"?

And if not, is there a support group for this sort of thing...

Law School Admissions / Re: Report Sent Without LORs
« on: December 21, 2007, 02:10:10 PM »
I submitted all my transcripts and LORs in 2004 to LSAC (when I thought I was applying then). They all show up as "processed" on my LSAC account. I just received a letter from 1 of the schools I applied to saying that they do not have these documents! I emailed the adcomm about it and attached screen shots showing that all my stuff has been "in" for a long time. I thought LSAC would send all this stuff to schools after my report was requested... Is this just some kind of error on the school's part or should I be doing something specific with my trans and general lors?

- starting to panic

Choosing the Right Law School / Need more reach schools- Suggestions

3.88 degree; 3.79 LSDAS; 158 LSAT

My pre-score apps include:
Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, UVA, Baylor, SMU, Houston, Oklahoma, Colorado, William & Mary, and several T3/T4 "safeties".

Of the above-named schools, I'm thinking I'll only get 3-4 offers... I'm looking to add another 1 - 3 schools that I have a decent shot at. Any suggestions? I've heard good things about Tulane, but I know some of the laws in LA are different than in other states... is that a problem when it comes to passing another state's bar?

Well, I got a 158. My highest was a 163 and my lowest was a 150, so I guess I should be happy, and I am... for the most part. My goal was never T14. But, I am applying to several T1s and was really hoping for a 162+ to feel like I have a good shot... I'm going to go check Chiasu (or however it's spelled) to see what my chances are now. At least my GPA is strong from a top UG...

Isn't it interesting how only 1 dumb-a$$ has posted an "I got my score" flame thread? What's more interesting... I kinda wish somebody else would throw it up-- even if it's untrue. This day has been so anticlimactic.
