Also, I take it the first step in any case is to file FAFSA?

Which I have to wait until January 1st to do?

Does anyone here have experience with students loans
for part-time J.D. programs?

Specifically, does the government count your income
and/or savings against you?

How do private lenders factor these things in?

I hope to keep my current job while in school.
I make good money, but wonder if my employer might not
take very well to me going to law school part-time.

Am also wondering if lenders expect me to use up
all my savings before they'll loan me money.

I would rather have a cushion ...

Law School Admissions / Re: Fordham?

Thanks! I am really excited.

Received an email late yesterday afternoon from John Chalmers.
The email was fairly short -- said that I had accepted, that
a formal acceptance by snail-mail was forthcoming, followed by
congratulatory statements welcoming me to the Fordham community.

I had applied late in the cycle last year (stupid, stupid!), and
rode out the waitlist until the end of August, no dice.

So I applied again in early September.

I am so glad the waiting is over -- I know how you feel!

Don't worry, I'm sure they will make more decisions soon.
Things are just getting rolling.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving -- put it out of your mind for a few days!

No Fordham decisions on LSN yet.

I was hoping they'd make some decisions this week.

I wonder if they've decided to deliberate a little longer this year.

Maybe we won't see any decisions before Thanksgiving ...

Law School Admissions / Cardozo Evening Program - No more?
« on: September 18, 2007, 07:32:47 PM »
Didn't Cardozo use to have an evening program?
Or did I imagine it?

Half-way down the Cardozo FAQs page, http://www.cardozo.yu.edu/admissions/faqs.asp, I see this:

Quote
Does Cardozo offer a part-time evening program?

No, Cardozo does not offer an evening program.  Our part-time program is a day program and begins in May. It is part time the first year and full time the last two years. Further information is provided elsewhere on our website.

Has it always been this way?
