Has anyone bought a watch from EBAY? There are some pretty good deals but I am unsure if the watches are truly authentic. If I buy a watch  and I find out it is not authentic will EBAY refund the money or will I have to go after the dealer?

There are plenty of authentic new and used watches on ebay but you need to be a very educated consumer. Ask the right questions, do research, etc. I'd recommend making sure that you're using a credit card and not your bank account via paypal. Credit cards often have more consumer protection.

the IWC is 8-10k, the omega is probably 2.5-3k, and the rolex is 5-7K...

I thought that LV sub was a seamaster the first time I looked at mistake!

Anyways, why do people like TAGs so much?? Only thing I would ever want is one of those Carrera chronos, and that's if someone gave it to me. Having Tiger Woods and Uma Thurman peddle your wares must really work...I've read that TAG is the no. 2 selling luxury watch in the U.S. now behind Rolex.

Well I can't speak for people. For me, I bought a Tag because I came from a family of sensisble watches and a Tag seemed like a certificate of accomplishment. No one spent money on crazy things like telling time. I remember thinking that'd be the first thing I'd buy when I had money to buy an adult watch. I did and I did. Kinda cliche but now it's mine. I stack it with a yurman bracelet. (I'm a lady - sorry for intruding on the thread but I love watches and could talk time pieces all day).

Good thinking on insurance!

I'd recommend I have a Tag 2000 that I bought myself when I got my first(and only) promotion. I thought about selling it on ebay to pay for moving costs but decided against it.

I've worried about this as I get ready to head down south for school. Will the Atlanta market take kindly to someone from NY?

I've also wondered if the bars in the land of the SEC will carry the Big Ten games. I digress.

Hey seriously though are you lying about that email? I don't really see how you received it at 10pm when their offices close at 5...

Be honest, I don't want to be up all night refreshing since I have work in the am.

You do realize that you can get scores after 5pm, correct? You think a guy is sitting at lsac hq emailing all test takers individually? It's a program that mass emails score results in batches. That can happen after 5pm.

They're not released at the same time. In the past, they've come in batches.

And seemingly with no rhyme or reason so don't worry about trying to find a pattern once the first guy gets his score. In December 07, I was one of the first on the board to get my score and my last name starts with S and my test center # was kinda high.

Someone set up a public photobucket account so the first person with a score could post the scale. You guys probably aren't doing anything but refreshing, maybe someone could do that.

I got my December 07 score at 6:12pm. Don't give up just because it hasn't happened yet.

You get your score the day the update box is filled. That's why it's important.

I am looking forward to USC v OSU.  Also, ASU v UGA is a big home game for ASU that I will attend.  I hope they win, but I mostly just hope they don't get crushed.

And a night game too.

Probably in the same way I say I'm going to "the city" when I go into Manhattan from Queens (but in an even more extreme way)

I hear that used all the time, even though all 5 boroughs are technically the city. But Columbia is in Manhattan for the love. That's just ridiculous.

Me too. The days are so long and then the evenings and weekends fly. I made a list of 'Things to do in NY before I leave' and I pretty much update it constantly. It gets longer as I get closer to leaving.  :'(

On the bright side, I'm pretty up to date with current events. Thanks MSNBC and Overheard in NY is great too.
