Studying for the LSAT / Question re: Kaplan books
« on: January 02, 2008, 11:03:07 AM »
Does anyone have the Kaplan endurance book? (I know Kaplan is loathed here) I am buying additional preptests and want to make sure I'm not buying ones that are in the endurance book. Could someone please tell me what exams are in this particular book?

(book is at home and I'm at work and would like to order today)

Studying for the LSAT / test center - NYC
« on: December 28, 2007, 10:53:36 AM »
Has anyone ever sat for the LSAT at Brooklyn College? I registered for the Feb exam today and the test center I took the december exam at is booked. Any feedback is appreciated.

And if you're looking to take a future exam at Elanor Roosevelt high school in the city, I thought it was a great test cite. Big desks, natural light, organized proctors, etc.

Law School Applications / Mail getting to LSAC
« on: December 27, 2007, 11:10:03 AM »
My final LOR was supposed to arrive at LSAC on 12/24. I tracked it online and delivery was attempted, notice left, etc. I'd imagine LSAC is the largest mail recipient in Newton, PA and USPS knows they're closed and holds mail until 1/2. Does anyone know if they'll hold it until offices reopen?

Studying for the LSAT / I wish
« on: December 03, 2007, 11:14:52 AM »
I wish that the week before you get your actual score you would get a preliminary score range. So say I end up with a 165, the week before I'd get an email saying I'll be getting a score soon and it's between a 162 and 169. That way I'd have some time to adjust to the idea of my score first. I was experiencing a big swing in scores leading up to Saturday and I'm terrible at gauging my performance.

I guess if I'm wishing for things, I should just wish for 180.

For the LR sections, I started out with the kaplan technique of reading them question stem first, then reading the stimulus. After reading the powerscore bibles, I switched to always reading the stimulus first. My scores improved but have since leveled off. I'm thinking for the sake of the tougher questions, it might be helpful to switch back to reading the question first so I know what's asked of me before tackling the stimulus? Thoughts?

I'm taking it Saturday, btw.
