Ditto to jenesaislaw's point. Can you feasibly get to another test center and get a cheap hotel room forthe night before? The December test will also hold up your applications until after the new year. I'd look into this option and prep your behind off.

Again, for what it's worth I got in off the WL at IU-B with a $20k scholarship with good terms.

People who say literally when they don't mean it. 'She literally rolled over in her grave. She was literally in a pickle.' It's strange the number of people use that expression liberally without realizing what it even means.

Oh and people who say/have bumperstickers that say I vote my values. What do you think I vote on, dude? Hairdos?

And ditto on the earlier subway pet peeves.

I don't think it matters either way. From personal experience, I'd say stick with your current position. I was thinking about switching jobs for more of a challenge a little over a year ago. I am so glad I decided against it. Your cycle will be stressful and potentially draining. Throwing in a job search and adjusting to a new job in a different sector into the mix may not be the best thing. I was able to work on my ps at lunch and get a lot of the phonecalls to schools and such done here.

Do what you're comfortable with but not because of the impact you think it will have on your cycle.

I gave notice today!!!! That felt great. My movers come to pick up my poo on Monday. This is starting to feel very real.

Where should I go next fall? / IU-B vs UGA

I've done my research and understand that these schools are pretty similar on most everything except location. IU-B places mainly in Indiana and the midwest. UGA places mainly in Atlanta and the south. UGA has football but IU-B has basketball.

Half tuition scholarship at IU-B and ability to get residency in Georgia makes them pretty much equal, with UGA beng $5k cheaper.

Can anyone tell me anything I may be missing?

Isn't it a little late in the year for schools to be sending things via snail mail? I got in off two waitlists, one via email and one with a phonecall. HTH.
