I have no problems with Vandy but this guy basically went out of his way to make a list that systematically eliminated every school higher than Vandy as one he'd want to go to. Tastes like bitterness.

Yeah, you're right, I misread the points that specifically singled out schools like Cornell and GULC and called them trash because they don't have frat boys playing frisbee on the lawn.

Except you're not. He wanted to go to Virginia and Stanford. He also said that if you could get into Yale, go. Or a place that doesn't do grades traditionally.

And I think the part you missed was the excerpt about how his top choices were Virginia and Stanford, and that he got rejected from both.

My UG was very UVa. In fact, we're often compared with Michigan and UVa in terms of social scene, so I wanted something different.
