I'm still using XP pro and I'm not going to switch/upgrade until I absolutely have to. I've been using the Windows 7 RC for a month or so now, and haven't had so much as a hiccup. I think they might have actually turned themselves around after Vista. 4

Right. Don't dwell too much on why you did poorly 15 years ago. The message you want to send isn't that your past performance should be excused, it's that it's irrelevant given your success since then.

Also, I'd been afraid to say anything about this until the signed lease actually arrived for fear of jinxing myself into homelessness, but we have an apartment in DC! The process has been consuming my life recently. Next stop: selling my beloved car that got me through 3 years as a delivery boy.
