Studying for the LSAT / Re: Is English your second language?
« on: October 25, 2007, 08:11:20 PM »
English is not my first language either. i don't know what your weakest section is, but in my case most of the mistakes i made were in the LR section. there are certain subtleties of the language that i couldn't understand, because i didn't grow up speaking English. so my strategy was to improve as much as i could on LG and RC. i made a habbit of reading the New York Times every day; i did every game i could find and did it twice. i studied for around 3 months and eventually got 161 on the LSAT. no matter how badly you do now, do not give up and tell yourself that you cannot do it because you are an immigrant.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: applying as international student?

i guess my biggest concern was, whether the fact that i'm applying as international student is going to hinder my chances. none of the schools i looked at admitted any international students last year.

Choosing the Right Law School / applying as international student?
« on: October 25, 2007, 05:58:24 PM »
i moved to the United States to attend college four years ago. my current employer has recently sponsored my green card, which i'm scheduled to receive in the next several months. my stats are: LSAT 161, GPA 3.9. additionally, i had to work while attending college, did several internships, and volunteering. my question is, should i apply this cycle as international student or should i wait intil i get my green card and apply next year?

i've been looking for a study partner for a while. what are strengths? and what is your target score? shoot me an email, if you are interested.
