I didn't apply to that program, however if you go into UCLA's online application you'll see more detailed info on it. I think you have to write another 3 page essay on how you meet the criteria they ask for. But I do know that last year about 500 some students applied for 25 spots. I have also heard that it is "easier" to get into through that program, but who knows? Its just a rumor I heard while I was an undergrad there.

Anybody ever hear or know of people who got into UCLA through their Public Interest program? I went to undergrad there and I've heard that on several occasions when talking to other students that it is "easier" if you apply through that program. Don't know if its a myth or what, just curious if anyone else heard anything like that...
Last year there were 500 some odd applicants for 25 spots, which I guess is statistically better than their regular applicant pool...

I have two LSDAS reports left and was wondering besides U of Arkansas, U of Arkansas Little Rock, UoP-McGeorge, Florida Coastal and University of Akron, which other schools have no online application fee?

Got the same thing today too. Flipped through the catalog and saw that they use an index score in their admissions process- they don't admit anyone lower with an index of 77- my numbers are waaay lower than their 25%. So just a bit skeptical here and agree that this may be a way to solicit more apps.

I have a few questions about the Boalt application. Ok, they may be a bit stupid but I just wanted to make sure and would appreciate any responses!
1. Does Boalt only offer their appplication through downloading the PDF file on their website? (ie no online application through the LSACD?)
2. What do they mean when they ask for our "signature" on each page the personal statment? Does that mean we have to physicially sign it. If so, preferably where?
3. On page 6 there is a optional financial aid application and mentioned something about a Boalt Hall fee grant- are they referring to the fee waiver?
Good Luck to all the applicants, I hope we hear good news soon and congrats to all the admits!
