Current Law Students / Re: rejection phone call?

thanks, but I am no flame ...
I have actually found the whole hiring thing very arbitrary.
I got another judicial internship today without any interview. The acceptance letter just arrived via email. And it's from a fed. judge of NY.

nah, maybe they think giving a rejection over hte phone is more polite than via email.
I would loathe to get a rejection over the phone, though.

but why didn't they simply send me an email? in that way they could get my acceptance via email too.

I am damn worried that they prefer to say something embarrassing to me on the phone (which they prefer not to write in email)

Current Law Students / rejection phone call?
« on: March 04, 2009, 10:55:35 PM »
I just did an interview today, and got a call 3 hours later. But I did not carry my cell phone with me and the person left no voice message. It was past 5pm. I checked my email and found the secretary asking me if I got a phone no by which they could reach me.

Could it be a rejection phone call? have you got any rejection calls before? damn, it must be embarrassing. If it was an acceptance I wonder why they did not just send me an email.

Current Law Students / Re: interview a circuit court judge

hey... sorry. I deserve the mockery. how stupid and careless I was to make that mistake in my heading.

I have another interview lined up, also with a 2nd circuit court judge ... I frown on the expensive tickets ... and I cannot possibly ask for refund or cancel either of them (they are too close)

though I am in boston and applied to all of the 1st circuit court judges, I never got an interview from any of those. this is really strange.

hey, u are so generous.
I feel a little surprised about the interview. but this has a lot to do with luck, I believe. but anyway this is only an interview.

(I read our profile: it's so strange that you were waitlisted at BC. I was admitted straight to BC, but rejected by Cornell ....)
