Law School Applications / Re: The Law School Laptop
« on: April 10, 2008, 12:48:07 PM »
I'm a computer idiot, but I'm gonna do the thinkpad thing after seeing how much positive stuff about it is on here. The x61 looks awesome, but the t61 looks a lot more durable, what with the cool laptop rollcage picture on the website. that plus the difference in price has me thinking t61 is the way to go for me. Anyone strongly object?

Awesome. Congrats. Must feel good to have it all sorted out.

Thanks.  I'm still hoping to get into Penn, UChi, or CLS, but it's unlikely.  Where are you leaning towards?

I'm not totally locked in, but I went up to NYU last weekend and had a great time, awesome people, awesome area, etc. So I'm leaning hard that way.

Right, but let's make an assumption that OP will ignore all the advice about pre-study being a waste of time and will definitely do it no matter how much people try to talk him out of it.

How should he go about it?

tL, you decided on michigan? I thought you were really down on it at one point? What changed your mind?

Money. And it's really my best option.  There was no way in hell I was going to UVA, and I don't think Cornell offered enough money, so Michigan was kinda decided by default.  It's a good school though, and I'm sure I'll like it once I get there.

Awesome. Congrats. Must feel good to have it all sorted out.
