I'm NYU '11. I would guess that the money is all gone at this point. Personally, I'd take stanford over NYU. Not because the weather is really nice or anything like that, but because stanford is a really big deal. Small class, incredible reputation, etc.

Not an issue at all. Getting into it demonstrates your intelligence, schools won't care about anything else.

I was so disappointed that this was something about some made up poet and not the real-life internet persona that we all know and love.

Priority WL, but I think I'm gonna drop. No money for WLers, I assume, so I can't see why to stay on? I think I'd need money to do UVA...

What are the 3-5 schools?

Obviously this is speculation but, HYS...maybe 1 or 2  of CCN.  Note, I'm not saying you can or can't get that job but rather that you could feel confident in getting one.  Also, some of these schools don't rank but if they give out transcripts employers can figure it out if they are interviewing a decent number of students.

I feel exactly the same way as stotan about this stuff.

You really can't make the inferences that you guys are making from this data.

Sure, obviously. I think it's just the couple weeks before deposits are due, so we're staring at that big six-figure number and freaking out a little bit.

i don't think i could get biglaw if i finished bottom 10%, which is a legitimate concern for me.

There are maybe 3-5 schools where you could finish that low and still feel assured of a biglaw job.  Still as a UMich grad in the bottom 10% a market paying job isn't going to be out of the question you are just going to have to work harder for it when it comes job search time.
