as of now i dont know anything about financial aid from either school. Cornell and ucla are also options but I do not want to live in Ithica or go back to the west coast where I am from. I know Durham is not the best city to live in but i am more concerned with which school will give me the best job opportunities; also duke has a much smaller class size

Have you actually called each school and asked for a list of where their graduates went?  Duke seems very keen about advertising where they ended up, which might give you a sense of which school you should pick.

Wally what's your rub with Gtown? And are you in at Stanford?
